Dr. Sam Masoud
Dr. Masoud has been working at the Veterinary Emergency, Urgent Care and Referral clinic of York region as an Emergency veterinarian since June 2016. Before Dr. Masoud joined the VECYR, He previously worked in different hospitals as an overnight veterinarian in the GTA & Niagara area. Dr. Masoud decided to pursue a career as a veterinarian because he loved working in the medical field especially with animals; he had his first dog in grade 7 which was German Sheppard. After finishing high school with exceptional marks he completed vet school for 5 years then completed post-graduation training for 6 months in various veterinary branches. Dr. Masoud began his career working with buffalo, cow and poultry (broiler, breeder and layers). Dr. Masoud then moved to Canada and completed the VSTEP program at the University of Guelph and received his license to practice in Canada. Dr. Masoud is most interested in soft tissue surgery, emergency medical cases. Dr. Masoud is married and has 2 kids, a 16-year old boy who is also interested in a medical career and a 12-year old girl who wants to be a veterinarian just like her dad. In his free time Dr. Masoud enjoys watching his favorite soccer teams, Egypt and TFC.
