Rebecca graduated from the veterinary assistant program at Georgian College in 2016. She began working at the veterinary emergency urgent care and referral clinic of York region in September 2016. She has grown up caring for litters of kittens and puppies from rescued barn cats to family dogs. Rebecca has recently returned back from South Africa after volunteering at a big cat sanctuary where she learned about African cats and other wild big cats. She learned many new things about those species and how to help protect endangered wildlife. Rebecca plans to go back to school to become am RVT in small practice and in wildlife services.
When Rebecca is not at work she enjoys going for long bush walks with her two Australian cattle dogs and spending time with family and friends. Rebecca also plans to return to South Africa and volunteer at other endangered wildlife sanctuaries such as a rhino sanctuary. Rebecca also loves taking wildlife photography in her spare time.
