Tamara is currently enrolled in her fourth year of Biological science at the University of Guelph. Tamara began working at Veterinary Emergency, Urgent Care & Referral Clinic of York Region in 2015. Her previous volunteer experience in a regular veterinary practice motivated her to gain more knowledge in emergency medicine. In previous years, she volunteered with Georgina Animal Control where she cared for a litter of kittens and adopted her cat, Ellie. She aspires to apply to the Ontario Veterinary College to further her career in veterinary medicine.
When not at work, Tamara enjoys being active whether she’s going for trail runs or practicing yoga. With a passion for wildlife and exotic animals, Tamara hopes to travel to Asia and volunteer with elephants in the near future. As an animal activist, she enjoys participating in protests against animal cruelty, and helping rescue farm animals.
